🇱🇷National Vietnam War Veterans Day🇱🇷

Updated: Apr 7, 2021

TODAY WE HONOR THE SERVICE AND SACRIFICES OF OUR VIETNAM VETERANS
National Vietnam War Veterans Day is observed every year on March 29th. This year will be the 4th year of commemoration since the Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Act of 2017 was signed into law. Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial has the deepest respect and thanks for those who so honorably served our country in the Vietnam War. We also want to take this time to recognize not only their service in the war but their continued dedication and service to our community. Between 1964-1973, 3.4 million American troops were deployed to Vietnam. Nearly 60,000 American troops were MIA or KIA and 150,000 wounded. Vietnam War veterans came home to criticisms from American citizens due to the rising unpopularity of the Vietnam War over the course of ten years. It was a harsh time for many of the war veterans. Many of them, unfortunately, did not receive the recognition they deserved. That's why National Vietnam War Veterans Day is so important. It recognizes the bravery, gallantry, and sacrifice our American forces made to protect our country. Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial Association is dedicated to commending all veterans for their bravery, no matter the cause of fighting. The Vietnam War's purpose was to stop the rise of communism from reaching other sides of the world. It is the American duty to serve our country, to protect our families, and pursue freedom wherever possible and Vietnam veterans did just that. We are able to make that possible through your kind and generous donations. Donate here on our website to maintain our plaques, keep our property clean, and allow us to host special commemorative events that commemorate our veterans and currently serving servicemen and women of the U.S. Armed Forces. We thank you for reading today.
